Kline signing his contract.

This past weekend, the newly graduated Bear Jacob Kline signed with the Billings Mustangs. The Mustangs are a baseball organization in Billings, Montana. They are a part of the Pioneer League, a league that is based in Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado.

A name that has become known at Shawnee State for the last three years is heading to the northwest part of the country for his chance to play professional baseball. During Kline's time here, he has done nothing but be impressive. With 111 games under his belt, he has been a menace offensively, tallying a total of 405 at-bats, having a batting average of .362 and a slugging percentage of .746 to match. Kline had 146 hits (28 doubles, four triples, and 38 home runs). Jake drove in 124 runners and scored 105 times. His impressive 2021 season left him as the record holder for the most home runs hit in a season as he broke the school's 19-year record of 19 in a season, he went out that season and belted 20 home runs.
