Summer fashion statement: Masks are in ...

In just three days, summer will officially begin on Saturday, June 20. With the arrival of sunny days and warm temperatures, these two young raccoon siblings are enjoying the shade of a tall maple tree in the Waverly area. Some research is indicating that being outdoors lessens the chance for coronavirus to spread, provided that social distancing guidelines are followed and masks are worn when in public. Officials have said that people should wash their hands for at least 20 seconds before putting on a face mask and that it should be worn over the nose and the mouth. Wearing a face mask is not a substitute for other safety measures, such as social distancing, washing your hands, and sanitizing, etc., but it is an added layer of protection for others, which has become especially important since it has been confirmed that many people who carry the disease do not have any symptoms and do not know that they have it.
