WAVERLY, OH, December 9, 2018: Pike County Auditor Erica J. Snodgrass, CPA, reminds all dog owners in Pike County to purchase their 2019 dog licenses. Renewal applications have been mailed to all current licensed dog owners. Dog licenses for 2019 will be available for sale through Jan. 31, 2019, and are valid through Jan. 31, 2020. Licensing your dog is required by state law and may ensure that your pet will be returned if it is lost. Please visit our new website at www.doglicenses.us/OH/Pike. The online site allows for buying and renewing of license online via debit/credit card. Dog licenses are also available for purchase either at:

Licenses not purchased by the deadline of Jan. 31, 2019, will be assessed a penalty. The Auditor’s Office does not have the authority to waive late fees after the deadline.

Individuals must be in the business of professionally breeding dogs for hunting or sale to qualify for a kennel license. Purchasers of kennel licenses may be subject to inspection by the Pike County Dog Warden.
