While we have many subscribers to The News Watchman, only a fraction of residents are currently taking advantage of www.newswatchman.com’s access that is included with your print subscription price.

Starting Oct. 31, you’ll need that log-in in order to view all the local content on the website. Here is how you can sign up:

Visit www.newswatchman.com and look to the top right of the page for the “subscribe” link. Click there and you’ll be taken to a webpage that helps activate your online access if you’re already a print subscriber. It also lists all the options to subscribe if you haven’t already.

Current print subscribers need only know their account numbers to create their online account. If you do not know your account number, you can call our office at 740-947-2149 for assistance.

On that same webpage, you will see an option to add your online access. Click there and you’ll be taken to a form to create a screen name and a password.

If you aren’t a current subscriber but have been enjoying reading our content online, please take the time to sign up now.

“Online only” offers these options:

  • $.99 for 1 day
  • Four weeks of content for only $5.10
  • Three months for $15.50
  • Six months for $24.75
  • A year for $40.50

If you want a print subscription (with free access to online), you can purchase six months for $27.50 or a year at a discounted rate of $32.75. There are also more options you can explore online.

Our website is constantly updated. You can find all the latest news, sports, community event items and more at just the click of a button. You can also read the latest editions of The News Watchman by viewing the e-edition online.

Our staff takes a lot of time to report and create all of that content and get it out to readers in a timely way that is convenient and easy to find.

Our employees work hard to do that — it’s their job, not just a hobby.

You can also purchase a subscription as a gift for a friend or relative. A subscription makes a great holiday gift for someone who is hard to buy for; we all know people who like being the fountain of information, and you’ll be keeping that person in the know all year long.
