Pike County remains under Level Two snow emergency

Pike County Sheriff Richard Henderson reports that Pike County is under a Level Two snow emergency. After announcing a Level One snow emergency at 6:18 a.m. Saturday morning, it was moved up to a Level Two at 9:48 a.m.

Under a Level Two, roadways are hazardous and snow and ice covered. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roadways. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work.

The snow is forecasted to taper off by 9 p.m. Saturday night.
