Pike County Sheriff's deputies found a methamphetamine lab on the back porch of a residence on Wednesday.

According to Sheriff Richard N. Henderson, deputies were dispatched to 20493 state Route 772 in reference to a threats complaint, and upon arrival, they were advised that the suspect, Larry Joe Dale, was armed with a sword and hand gun. Deputies secured the suspect and weapons without incident, and while on scene, deputies were advised that a clandestine methamphetamine lab was in the home.

A check of the premises located the lab, and Larry Joe Dale was taken into custody and charged with illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of methamphetamine, illegal manufacture of drugs, having weapons while under disability, domestic violence and aggravated menacing.
